Library Activities for the Academic year 2021-2022

Library Orientation

Every year a Library orientation programme is conducted.The aim of this programme is to make the new members more familiar with the library resources, services and rules so that they can avail library services up to a great extent.To help acquaint students with the library environment and its materials.

National Library Week

National Library week for the year 2021-22 was celebrated in GDCW sangareddy from Nov14-Nov 20 . The programme was started with the inauguration by honoring SR Ranganathan(Father of Library Science).On this event various extension activities were conducted by the department of Library to the students like slogan writing, essay writing,Poster Making. Prizes were distributed to the students on College Annual Day to encourage the students and inculcate reading habits.

World Book Day

Every year, April 23 is celebrated as the World Book and Copyright Day, also known as World Book Day, to honour the great works by authors around the world. The special day has been marked by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as an attempt to promote the love of reading, writing books, translations, publishing and copyright.

Best Library User

To motivate the staff & students to make the efficient use of the library and its services, the ‘Best Library User Award’ has been awarded on College Annual Day on the basis of the utilization of library resources & discipline .This year the Best Library user under faculty category is given to B.Sandhya Rani Department of English and under student category it was awarded to B.Mounica (MPCs II yr)
