Department of Statisics
Brief History of the Department: The department was established in 2019 with the goal of teaching students how to create and apply statistical methods for evaluating data that arises during the scientific investigation of problems in a range of fields. It also provides users with practical expertise with state-of-the-art statistical software for data analysis of this kind. In any research Endeavour, a statistician is a necessary element of the research team. It is impossible to think of any field in the modern world that does not use advanced statistical techniques to extrapolate logical conclusions from research investigations. The department provides two undergraduate courses.
Vision:
To be the best by imparting a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical statistics, producing the best statisticians in the country in the process.
Mission:
To train students to achieve sound knowledge in Statistics and enable them to choose a profession to transmit and utilize the subject matter for the well-being of the society.
