Brief History of the Department:

 The Department of Bio- technology was established in this college in the year 2006 as a restructured course for B.Sc students and discontinued for period 2013 to 2016. Again restarted form 2016-2017 onwards with 50 seats and 17 enrolled students and now strength increased to 35 students. The faculty of Botany used to take classes for Bio-technology students. In the year 2017-18 post was sanctioned for Dept.of Bio-technology
