The Department of Botany was established in this college in the year 16-08-1965. The founder head of department Mr. G.Glory, Sri.K.LokenderRao,Retiredjoint director,Highereducation,Sri.K..Sant Prasadreddy,Retiredjiont director,Higher Education.PreUniversitycourseapart alongwith U,G.course up to 1996.The department is receiving financial assistance from UGC, State Government special fee collected fromstudents.M.Sc.Botany P.G.course was started in the department August,2013.At present the level of study offered by the department is both U.GandP.G.
