MOOCS

The Commissionerate of Collegiate Education (CCE) has initiated the MOOCs platform to provide an easy, flexible and affordable method to learn new skills with enriching learning outcomes. The Online courses would enhance the competence of the learners and make them proficient to deliver their expertise in their areas of their choice.

The CCE planned to begin the MOOCs platform in all Government Degree Colleges by identifying the courses which have to be offered through this medium. A virtual classroom was established and inaugurated by Mr Navin Mittal, Commissioner, Collegiate Education, Hyderabad on 31st August, 2019 at Government Degree College for Women, Begumpet. The online classes commenced from September, 2019 in subjects like Geography, Journalism & Mass Communication, Psychology and Sociology.

The College follows certain guidelines as prescribed by the CCE and the University, they are asfollows:

Admission for MOOCs is through DOST,Telangana.
Syllabus followed is in accordance with the parentuniversity.
Conduct of examinations as per the parentuniversity.
Following the prescribed teaching material developed by parentuniversity.
Work in coordination with MOOCs Coordinator fromCCE.

The Online classes for all Government Degree Colleges are conducted for first and second years regularly utilizing the resources provided by the college.
