OBJECTIVES OF THE DEPARTMENT
To provide quality education in a branch of Biological Sciences i.e Zoology with different specializations. To facilitate Higher education & research in Zoology. To provide quality education offering skill based programs and motivate the students for self employment in Applied branches of Zoology.
HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Zoology is one of the Prestigious departments in the esteemed APJ ABDUL KALAM Government Degree and P.G. College, Patancheru, Sangareddy District. The Department was started in the Year 2009 and ever since has been rendering immaculate service creating zeal and interest in the subject amongst the students.
PROGRAMMES AND COURSES OFFERED
Bachelors Degree in Science i.e., B.Sc with Botany, Zoology and Chemistry with Telugu as the medium is being offered ever since the inception.
During the Academic Year 2018 – 2019, the above course has been extended with English as the medium of instruction.
In the academic Year 2019-20, B.Sc , BZCA i.e., Botany, Zoology and Computer Application has been initiated with English as the medium of instruction.
