GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE NARSAMPET WARANGAL DISTRICT (RURAL) TELANGANA STATE Email: wgl.jkc.nspt@gmail.com; Mob. 9849551559 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Government Degree College, Narsampet was established on 3rd December, 1984 in Warangal District of united Andhra Pradesh. Narsampet is a major town located 45 Kilometers away from District head quarters. The college is affiliated to Kakatiya University, Warangal and it was admitted by UGC under 2(f) & 12(B) in 1991. The goal of the institution is to provide higher education to the socially, economically, and downtrodden sections of the society. After formation of separate Telangana State on 2nd June 2014 and reorganization of new Districts in October 2016, Government Degree College, Narsampet was conferred as Identified College of Warangal Rural District. The other two colleges come under this District are Govt. Degree College, Parkal and Govt. Degree College, Wardhannapet. Lt. Dr. B. Chandramouli, Principal of Govt. Degree College, Narsampet conducts monthly District Resource Center (DRC) meetings as per the instructions of the Commissioner of Collegiate Education, Telangana to improve the quality education and over all progress of the students as well as the colleges. Further District Collegiate Education Development and Review Committee (DCEDRC) under the Chairpersonship of the District Collector conducts quarterly meetings with all the three colleges of the Principals and other stakeholders for development activities of the college and to review the curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities in the Government Degree Colleges of Warangal Rural District. The main objective of the college is to provide education to the disadvantaged sections of the society. It motivates the students to take admission to the different courses and plans to conduct coaching to help them pursue higher studies. It will try to increase the strength of students in all departments and impart quality education to students and monitor their overall development. The students are encouraged to participate in class room discussions and seminars, eminent lecturers in all subjects are invited to deliver extension lectures. In order to upgrade its teaching-learning process, the college encourages the staff members to attend faculty improvement/development programs, refresher courses, orientation courses and seminars. The teachers as well as the students are encouraged to browse internet to keep themselves in touch with the latest development in their subject. The college obtains the well needed feedback on curriculum and performance of teachers from students, peers and employers and it is used for the augment the quality of the learning process.
