BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

    The Department of Zoology was established in this prestigious institution in the year 2008 along with combination of Botany and Chemistry as other options in BZC group in Telugu Medium.

     Later on BZC group in English Medium was also started during the academic year 2017-2018.

     The advanced and restructured courses namely Biotechnology and Microbiology with combination of Chemistry in BtZC and MZC group were also introduced during the academic year 2018-2019 as per the instructions of Commissionerate of Collegiate Education, Hyderabad,    

VISION

To provide a strong foundation for a better understanding of current advances in Zoology and its practical significance. To inculcate critical thinking and analytical skills to enable students to pursue higher studies and research in Life Sciences or related fields of Zoology.

MISSION

To provide a strong foundation in the concepts of animal structure, function and behavior. To provide practical skills and knowledge of applied aspects of Zoology which can pave the way for self-employment opportunities in Aquaculture, Apiculture, Vermiculture & Sericulture.

OBJECTIVES

To make teaching, learning and innovation more vigorous, ever dynamic and conducive.

To train the students for achieving theortical knowledge and practical skills.

To support students activities for holistic development.

To expose students to recent trends and developments in Zoology.
