      GovernmentDegreeCollegefor women Gajwelwasstarted in the year 2009 and in the same year, the Telugu Department was commenced with 50 students and one faculty member. From the beginning, the students were interested in studying Telugu language and literature as part of the second language. During these 12 years, today the Telugu Department is moving forward with 650 students and three faculty members.

                                        All the faculty are well qualified. Our Alumni have secured seats in M. A, B.Ed. and Telugu Pandit courses and are working as Telugu teachers in many schools. Telugu language skills and communication skills are taught through the curriculum, o that we will strive to transform job opportunities, social responsibilities, moral values, and human values into future citizens

       

      THEOBJECTIVESOFLANGUAGETEACHING

       The study of Mother tongue will inculcate moral values, enhance personalitydevelopment, and encourage social responsibilities among students. The main objective would be to cultivate Telugu language qualities in students by educating students on birth of Telugu language, history of Telugu literature and linguistics. This mechanism enlightens students with different forms of Telugu literature.
