Government Degree College , Gajwel

About the Department:

             The Department of Commerce was established on the same day of establishment of this Government Degree College, Gajwel i.e., on 26.08.1997. Initially the department has offered B.Com Tax Procedures, with the permitted intake of 30. This course was the restructured in nature. During 1999-2000 Academic year another new course B.Com (Computer Applications) was introduced with the permitted intake of 30 students. In its evolution process, during the academic year 2009-10  B. Com Computers, during 2016-17 B. Com General Courses were introduced with 50 and 30 permitted intake respectively. Except B. Com General, remaining courses were with English as Medium of instruction. Further, keeping in the view of the demand for higher education needs of this region student, M.Com, Post- Graduation Course in Commerce was started during the 2015-16 Academic year with 40 sanctioned intake.
