SEVEN CRITERION WISE DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES
I.CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES/ASPECTS
We follow the syllabus framed by Osmania University, Hyderabad. The common core syllabus has been introduced in all universities of Telangana state with effect from 2019-2020 by the State Council for Higher Education, Hyderabad. The first year syllabus was revised in the year 2019-2020, second year syllabus from 2020-2021, and third year syllabus will be revised from the academic year 2021-22. Improvement of syllabus is done by incorporating the additional inputs. Annual curricular plan is prepared in the beginning of the academic year in which teaching and other activities are related. A few introductory classes have taken by the botany faculty members to the students with telugu medium back ground who got admission in to englshmedium. Classes were taken at the beginning of the academic year for B.Z.C -I students in which Botany Taxonomic terminology with scientific names and subject basicsin
different topics have been taught to the students to bring all students to the same academic standards
Remedial classes were conducted for B.Sc II and III year students by selecting academically weaker and failure students.
It is conducted based on our Botany syllabus and we encourage the students to participate actively in the programme.
Assignments are given to students to increase the students learning capacity. For academically backward students assignments are given to the students to learn important questions.

Students participated in community service programmes as guided by the faculty. Students have reported that, they have taken up awareness programs on Parthenium weed hazards. They have participated in clean and green, haritha haram programmes. They spread the knowledge about clean environment and AIDS awareness program and program against superstitions.

Objectives:
-To remove all the Parthenium plants from campus.
-To give wide publicity about health hazards occurs due to the weed.
Health hazards: Parthenium has been reported to cause skin rashes (dermatitis), watery eyes, swelling and itching of the membranes of the mouth and nose, constant coughing especially at night, continually running nose and sneezing, itching of the roof of the mouth and fatigue..
The Practice:
-Planned to find out and to remove Parthenium plants.
-Students have been divided in to groups and campus area has been divided among the groups.
-Allotted group will look after the programme in their respected areas.
Evidence of success:
Under the supervision of faculty Botany Students and NSS volunteers participated regularly in the project. They removed the Parthenium plants with roots in regular time periods for the complete eradication of such dangerous weed.
OBJECTIVES:
The primary goal of World Cancer Day is to significantly reduce illness and death caused by cancer and is an opportunity to rally the international community to end the injustice of preventable suffering from cancer.
Department conducted awareness programme on February 4 th of every year.Focus will be on girl students who frequently get cancers like cervical cancer, breast cancer etc. speakers gave knowledge about healthy habits, sanitation and malnutrition.
Outcome of the practice:
Girl Students informed that they are taking precautions to avoid cancer. Our students promised to spread this knowledge in their villages
