      1.1 Admissions:

      Following are theAdmissions during various academic years in BZC offered by the department of Zoology.

      1.3 Received State level awards:

      Received state best teacher in Zoology from the Commissioner of Collegiate Education, Government of Telangana “Yuvatarangam 2015”.

      II. Achievements of the Faculty:

      i.Teaching learning:

      • Teaching methodology includes conventional method i.e., Black Board.
      • ICT method used.
      • Took online classes using Zoom.
      • Prepared online video lessons and uploaded in the college website for the benefit of students.

      Received state best teacher in Zoology from the Commissioner of Collegiate Education, Government of Telangana “Yuvatarangam 2015”.

      ii.Research and Innovation:

      iii. Others:

      • Acted as a judge in finalizing best student project seminars for the school students of sangareddy district at National children science congress at sangareddy town three times, conducted by the department of school education.
      • Rendered services as presiding officers for MLA and MP elections.
      • IQAC Coordinator from the period November 2014 to June 2018 at Tara Govt. College, Sangareddy. During this period the following are achieved:
        1. During the academic year 2014-15, two state level seminars were conducted.
        2. During the academic year 2014-15, four national level seminars were conducted.
        3. Ten (10) Minor Research Projects were sanctioned to different faculty of the college during the academic year 2014-15.
        4. Two (02) seminars were conducted in the college during the academic year 2015-16.
        5. One (01) state level workshop was conducted in the college during the academic year 2015-2016.
        6. One (1) National level seminar was conducted in the college during the academic year 2016-17.
        7. One (1) seminar was conducted during the academic year 2017-18
        8. Played a major role in Preparation of Proposals & College (Tara Government College, Sangareddy) report for submission to UGC for Autonomy.
        9. Coordinated different departments during the UGC- Joint Expert Committee visit to the college (Tara Govt. College, Sangareddy).
        10. Tara Govt. College, Sangareddy was granted autonomy for a period of Six years.
      • IQAC Coordinator from the period July 2018 till date at Govt. Degree College, Sadashivapet. During this period the following are achieved:
        1. Two national level seminars were conducted during the academic year 2018-2019.
        2. One day National seminar was conducted during the academic year 2019-20.
        3. Online classes were conducted to the students by all the faculty of the college by using ZOOM during the academic year 2019-2020.
        4. All the faculty prepared video lessons and were uploaded into the college website during the academic year 2019-2020.
        5. Several online extension lectures were conducted during the academic year 2019-2020
      • Played a major role in preparing and submission of SSR report for NAAC.

      III. Achievements of the students:

      i.Academics:

      • Department of Zoology offers B.Sc.  B.Z.C English and Telugu medium programs.
      • Students of the Department were selected to present student study project “Hemoglobin levels in college students” at state level competition – “Jignasa” conducted by the Commissioner of Collegiate education, Telangana for the Government Degree colleges of the state of Telangana, during the academic year 2018-2019.
      • Conducted online extension lecture on “Corona Virus” in the academic year by Dr. Prabhat Ghatate, MD., Advisor for Pharmaceutical Company, Mumbai, during the academic year

      2019-20.

      • Conducted online extension lecture on “Masters of Air” by Dr. Rathna Prabha M.Sc, Ph.D., Head of the department of Zoology, Tara Government College, Sangareddy during the academic year 2019-20.

      ii. Sports: Students participated in sports competitions at district level.

      iii. Cultural: Students participated in various cultural events conducted in the

                               College and at district level.                

      iv. NSS: Students of the department of Zoology participated in NSS camp held  

                        At villages and brought awareness among the people of the village on   

                        Health Issues and awareness on general elections.

      v. NCC: Students of the department of Zoology participated in various NCC  

      Camps held at state and national level cultural camps and national

      Integration camps held at various places throughout India.

      vi. Placements: Nil.

      vii. Others:

      • Students of the Department of Zoology got admission in M.Sc Zoology at

      Tara Govt. College, Sangareddy.

      • Student of the Department of Zoology Mrs. Shravani got admission in M.Sc Zoology at Govt. College, Siddipet.
