Priyadarshini Government Degree College for Women, Gadwal

The department has established in 2008 . the department has been running successfully with enough lab equipments.In 2018 the college has shifted to the new building which is constructed on the  way to Beerelly Road. In the new building the Lab is allotted in a vide room along with the sofisticated furniture and other equipments. 

ABOUT DEPARTMENT

                         Govt. Degree College for Women, Gadwal was established in the year 2008in the premises of MALD Govt. Degree College in shift system ,The college building is situated in the Historic fort of Gadwal. The Mathematics Department was started in this college for the first time 2008 with the students’ strength of 30 in B. Sc MPC course. . At that time the medium of instruction was in Telugu medium only.

In 2017-18 all the subjects began to taught in English Medium only The Degree College offeres Sciences, Arts, Commerce and computer courses in the Degree level, and also offers B. Sc MPC’s course in English Medium. The strength of the lecturers in the dept. is one only The dept. has been conducting Extension Lecturers for the benefit of the students in addition to Unit Tests, Remedial Classes, Bridge Classes, Group Discussions, Seminars, Quiz competitions and field trips. Most of the students of this college are belongs to S.C, S.T, and B.C with rural background and poor academic record and their Economical Condition is also very poor. They are given good education in this college and by the time they leave the college their academic standard is very much increased.

The dept. is strictly adhered to the academic schedule as per the the almanac of the Palamuru University apart from the syllabus. The Mathematics Dept. trying to enlighten the students on the topics like Techniques for competitive exams, Real life situations, Statistics of prices, Population, Marketing etc generally discussing in class rooms. The departmental meeting is arranged at the beginning of the academic year and whenever necessary pertaining to the academic and co-curricular activities and the same is recorded in the department’s minute’s book.
