    •      Brief Introduction About Department of Physics

      • The Department of physics was started in the year 1991 on 9th November Government with a view to import science education at undergraduate level to women for the first time in this rural area.
      •  
      • In the beginning physics was taught in B.Sc under Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry combination in Telugu Medium with an intake of 30 Students.
      •  
      • Previously the department of Physics is under the OSMANIA UNIVERSITY up to 2010, after 2010-2011 academic year the department converted to PALAMURU UNIVERSITY.
      •  
      • In 2016 Palamuru University introduced MPCs Course in our college. Telangana Government start Semester system in the year 2016
      •  
      • In 2019 Palamuru University introduced MPC English medium Course in our college. 

       

      • Presently The Department of physics has Two well established labes

      1) C.V.Raman Lab(Lab-01)             2) Eienstein Lab(Lab)

      • Total Number of Students as on March-2021

      1) 1st  Year 114 (MPC=34 and MPCs=80)

      2) 2nd  Year 59 (MPC=19 and MPCs=40)

      3) 3rd Year 80 (MPC=30 and MPCs=50).

      ORGANISATION AND MANAGEMENT

      • The Department functions under the supervision of the principal through the head of the Department.

       

      • The head of the Department looks after day-to-day activities of the Department.

       

      • Periodical meetings are held with the staff to discuss Department activities and democratic decisions are taken and implemented.

       

      • In addition to teaching work, the faculty look after the admissions, examinations and other related works.

       

       

      HEALTHY PRACTICES

      • The students are advised to inculcate good moral value.

       

      • The students are advised to prepare models, charts, etc, of their subject interest.

       

      • Bright students are encouraged to take up study project to inculcate research interest among the students.

       

      • The students are encouraged to participate in field trips to enhance their subject knowledge.

       

      • Personal problems of the students are entertained through ward counselling system and solved their problems as far as possible.

       

      • Extension lectures are arranged by inviting eminent person.

       

      • The students are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities like AIDS awareness programs and Blood donation camps through NSS.

      • The students of resent past joined in various courses like B.Ed, M.Sc, M.C.A and M.B.A.

       

      • MANA TV/KU Band lessons are regularly viewed by students and faculty members.

       

      • Charts and models are prepared with the help of students.

       

      • The students are encouraged to involve in study projects.

       

      • The students are encouraged to join job oriented courses at J.K.C.

       

      • Each lecturer guided 3 study projects.

       

      Future plans of the Department

      • To arrange an exhibition once in two year on principles of physics which is useful to the students of this college and other colleges and schools in this area?

       

      • To arrange Extension Lectures by inviting eminent physicists from different University.

       

      • To arranged Educational Tours for students to different Universities, Research Labs and industries for general and educational awareness among the students and to know about the functioning of different Machines.

       

      • To conduct workshop in physics for all Degree college lecturers in the district.

       

      • To apply for major and minor research project and to establish a research lab to continue research.
