      Brief History of the Department

      The Department of Physics has started with the inception of the College in the year 1965 with the introduction of First year of BSc program, with Mathematic Physics and Chemistry as the Core courses, with a maximum intake of 30.
      The Course was taught in English. During some period of course it was taught in the Local language of Telugu too.
      The Department has a Laboratory for the Mechanics, and a Laboratory for Electricity and Magnetism, besides a Dark room.
      The Department follows the Almanac issued by the affiliating university, and maintains all the records updated regularly.

      Programmes Offered

      The Department of Physics offers the following two UG courses of 3-year duration for the boys and girls, after 10+2, with Mathematics as one of their core subjects

      1. B.Sc (Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science)
      2. B.Sc (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry)
