GOVERNMENT DEGREE & PG COLLEGE,JAMMIKUNTA
Jammikunta is an old village dated back to 10th century. An inscription founded at Abadi Jammikunta shivalayam .
The department of History was established in the year 1965 with the inception of the B.A course in the college. The college was started under private management under the name of Adarsha Degree College. The college was taken over by the government in 1982 and named as Government Degree College. From the year 1976 onwards the college came under the affiliation of Kakatiya University. Earlier the college was under Osmania University. Present the college is under Satavahana University Karimnagar. In the inception of the college the number of posts created in the department was only one.
