      Inter-Disciplinary :INDIAN POLITY offered to Science, Commerce and Arts students who don't have Political Science as optional subject.

      To promote excellence in teaching Dissemination of knowledge of our national and international political systems, policies, politics and administration. Freedom of thought and expression. Responsible citizenship. To prepare students for their future responsibilities as academicians, public service and other appropriate venues. Developing research

      Objectives

      Objectives of the Department of Political Science
       To impart the knowledge of the political science discipline
       To increase the understanding of basic facts and concepts about the Indian political system
       To increase knowledge of diverse political systems around the world, including empirical area-based knowledge; broader theoretical understanding of different political systems
       To increase recognition of the major problems, the leading policies, and the legal issues confronting contemporary political systems, particularly in the India.
       To conduct surveys, analysis of General elections, Bi-elections, Panchayat elections, Municipal elections, Exit poll surveys.
