KNM Govt.Degree College, Miryalaguda

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:

    With the initiation of Miryalaguda Educational society and the contribution of  Konduru Veeraiah  s/o Narsaiah, a local Philanthropist  KNM Degree college was established in 1981 to provide higher education to the people of Miryalaguda constituency initially only two programs (BA EHP and BCOM) were  introduced.

    Department of History was established in 1982 with the founder faculty member Sri.Gunda.Chandrasekhar Guptha who contributed to the Department of History by extending quality service and laid strong foundation.

    V.Rajeshwari served the institution as faculty of History from 1994 to 2017 and continued the tradition of extending quality service to the rural students.

     CH.Yadaiah faculty of History worked in the college from 2006 to 2013 and contributed to continue the quality service.

    At present N.Kotaiah, faculty of History has been working since 2006 and extending quality service. With the contribution of the department, thousands of students settled as Teachers, Lecturers and in different services. Some of the staff members are the alumni of the college.

    The Department has the tradition of conducting student’s seminars, extension lecturers, quiz programs, elocution and essay writing computations to improve the learning abilities of the students. Many educational tours are organized to bring awareness about historical places. History is the combination of many programs in the CBCS system in both media. The course is designed to offer students a broad view of the world history as well as specialization in the history of Telangana with specific emphasis on its cultural and social economic conditions, The Department is providing all the necessary facilities besides maintaining department library.

     Students are participating in the NCC, NSS Games, Sports, Library, Cultural programs, Swatch Bharath, Harithaharam, Blood Donation and Social Service camps. Free coaching for PG Entrance is being given in summer and many  Students were selected for university education in the last 5 years
