                The department of journalism was established in the year 1998.it has introduced the knowledge and generating the students staff members and also learnt more report writing, communicative skills from this department. it is very useful for make interaction with common people and also grasping of the knowledge from the society day by  day. In the globalization we can expose that the benefit of students and also may be acquired job opportunities. The main objective is to impartquality education in the field of journalism. With rapidly evolving information and communication technology in the global market. The department has produced the students with communicative skills in journalism and they are holding important positions in various fields .

                The department of journalism is the strongest and vibrant department of the college. Currently the department of journalism is handed  by Sri k.praven reddy (asst.prof. of History )and Sri. J. suresh, lecturer in journalism. The department offers under graduate courses in B.A, Mass Communication and journalism (HGMJ),with the aim to develop core competence in journalism and prepare the students to carry out communicative skills and soft skills. The department also has been working to promote the holistic development of the students’ and certain the academy creativity and inventiveness of the faculty. The department engages extension lectures, guest lecturers, field trips, Group Discussions and faculty development programmers.
