Nagarjuna Government College (Autonomous), Nalgonda

            With the initiative of the then  Honourable  Chief Minister Sri Burgula Ramakrishan Rao and under the auspicious of  Nagarjuna Educational Committee  headed by the then  Collector of Nalgonda, this college, under the name of an omniscient Acharya Nagarjuna,  Nagarjuna Govt. College come into being in 1956.  The History of the Department  of Hindi begins with the same year and is taught as second language for under graduate students. Since then the department has been playing its vital and spontaneous  role in the onwards march of the institution.    

            The NG College turned autonomous in 2007- 08, after achieving the NAAC B++ grade. The  DOH rose to the occasion and introducing new modules of learning in the Hindi subject, to further the interest of students in  the National Language.
