Department of Physics

The Physics has a team of experienced and knowledgeable lecturers who teaches and conduct research in various areas of physics. The Department offers a range of courses, classical physics, modern physics, quantum mechanics, electromagnetism and thermodynamics etc. Physics departments often have well-equipped laboratories where students can perform experiments and gain hands-on experience in applying theoretical knowledge to practical situations.Faculty and sometimes even students may be involved in research projects in areas like condensed matter physics, particle physics, astrophysics, or other specialized fields. The department may publish research papers and contribute to the scientific community. Some departments engage in community outreach programs, organizing science exhibitions, and educational events to promote scientific awareness and interest in physics. There may be physics-related student clubs or organizations where students can participate in discussions, events, and activities related to physics. The department may have facilities for computational physics, access to scientific journals and databases, and a library with physics-related resources.Physics departments often collaborate with other institutions, universities, and research organizations to enhance research opportunities and provide students with exposure to a broader scientific community. The department might offer career counselling and assistance to students pursuing careers in academia, research, or industry.
