         Government Degree College (GDC) - Paloncha , a good educational institution in the Kakatiya University region  Government Degree College (GDC) - Paloncha , a good educational institution in the Kakatiya University region, has been striving towards excellence since its inception in 1991.  The college is providing a healthy academic environment necessary for character construction, creative self-expression and personality development for boy and girl students.  Majority of the students of this college are first generation learners coming from middle class families and also from under privileged / marginalized sections of the society.  Government Degree College (GDC) – Paloncha contributes to national development by serving the cause of social justice and increasing access to higher education.  The various extension activities conducted through NSS, Bhagya / Health Club, Entrepreneur Development Cell, Women Empowerment cell, Consumer Club & Eco club function as link between the society and the institution.

     The backdrop of globalization students should be innovative, creative and entrepreneurial to stand in the competitive market.  In this transformational process the college has shifted its approach from teacher centered to student centric orientation and competent learning.

This institution is also striving for the achieving of the above objective in terms of education through the enhancement of gross enrollment.  The institution is reoriented to its vision of empowering women through women education.

        The main aim is to transform the student as complete citizens and equip them to become intellectually efficient, globally competent and socially sensitive.  To achieve this, several skill oriented courses, capacity building workshops are conducted to enable the students to achieve the required core competencies in various fields.

      We believe in motivating a student to become a good human being and grow wings of ambition and help her soar like a falcon to touch the sky.  Hence most of the programmers organized by the institution are aimed at holistic education which synthesizes traditional values with modern aspirations.

      During the past five years , for developing scientific temper and for inculcating a quest for knowledge, 17 seminars , 3 National Workshops were conducted in this direction.  Thus our College is committed to its vision of empowering women with quality education, critical thinking and problem solving approaches to understand the challenges of today’s life and to transform them into opportunities.
