College Best Practices

BEST PRACTICES OF THE INSTITUTION

Plastic Free Campus Initiative;

The departments of social sciences took an initiative to rid the campus of the all plastic materials. The students of physical sciences and life sciences scanned the whole college campus and collected all the trash. They were provided with gloves and masks to protect them from exposure to polluting dust and smog.

Cardboard colours were provided to them with the class labelled on it. This served as an inspiration and motivation to collect as much waste as possible in the given day. The class rooms were also cleaned with the help of the support staff. This initiative was undertaken on the 4th April 2019.This Exercise continued in the campus as the boxes were placed in different strategic spots to felicitate the disposal of the waste materials in the college campus.

The Principal Dr. DSR Rajender Singh and Vice-Principals Dr. V. Vijaya laxmi and Dr M. Vani along with the other staff addressed the students and stressed on the need for awareness and practice of clean and green campus. This initially started with Telangana Ku Haritha Haram on the 19th of July 2018 and the subsequent student rally on the 25th August 2018.
