About District Resource Centre

    District Recourse Centre was established in the month of September 2007 as per the proceeding of the Commissioner of Collegiate Education, RC.No.20/DRC/Acad.Cell/AC-1/7/2007  Dated:24-07-2007. The Annual contribution to be made to the DRC, by each college in the District from the current/accumulated special fee funds.

    The following colleges were the members at the time of establishment.

    1. Nagarjuna Govt. College(A) Nalgonda (ID College)
    2. Government Degree College for Women, Nalgonda
    3. Government Degree College, Ramannapet
    4. MKR Government Degree College, Devarakonda
    5. KRR Government Degree College, Kodad

     

    The activities are as follows

    1. Conducting district level seminars, expert lectures, panel discussions, academic competitions, career guidance programmes etc. 

    2. Organising short-term summer programmes, certificate courses, training programes, workshops etc. for improving various skills of students, including communicative, soft and ICT skills and job/self employment oriented skills

    3. Special training for preparing students for competitive examinations for higher studies, research institutes, employment etc.

    4. Visits of eminent scientists, social scientists, industrialists, experts etc. for interaction with staff and students for creating the required awareness

    5. Conducting value based activities, cultural programmes, youth festivals, exhibitions etc.

    6. Exchange of faculty for short term teaching programmes and conduct of practical’s

    7. Sharing of facilities by the other college students (where there are no such facilities) without affecting the routine of the host college

    8. Exchange of students to working teams for carrying out educational surveys, study projects, field work, hands on experience etc.

    9. Pooling of students for taking up of community service works

    10.Activities that are consequential to the schemes and programmes initiated at the Commissionerate level like JKCS, ETRP (ELF), NAAC/QAC activities, Repositioning, Training Programmes, Mana TV etc. for Commissioner of Collegiate Education

    Functions: The following are the areas of functioning

    1. The District Recourse Centre(DRC) will be a nodal centre and connected with Govt. Colleges in the district
    2. Colleges in the district will be linked with the DRC
    3. The Executive Committee will finalize all the activities for the DRC and implement the same
    4. All activities shall directly or indirectly benefit the students, of the colleges with shortages in particular.
    5. The expertise and services of the teaching staff available with DRC College and other colleges will be shared by all the colleges in the district as per the action plan of activities
    6. Facilities of the DRC will be shared by the staff and students of the district colleges based on the activities agreed and without disturbing the regular activities of the host college
    7. DRC will be one of the channels for extending the spread the schemes/programmes, such es JKCS, ETRP, NAAC/QAC, organised in certain lead colleges to the other colleges of the district
    8. Joint programmes will be conducted among the colleges of the district and DRC or at the other colleges/places for the benefit of students as decided by EC
    9. Programs such as seminars, extension lectures export visits, summer courses, training/coaching programmes, workshops, certificate courses etc are also conducted.
    10. All the programs directed by the Government and the Commissionerate shall be carried out by the DRC’s
    11. The DRC will collect, store and update data from the colleges of the district and forward the same to the Commissionerate when ever asked
    12. The Principal of each member college can appoint a coordinator to looking after the work related to DRC.
    13. Any other activities for furtherance of the objectivies.
