Governement Degree College, Shanthinagar, Waddepalli Mandal, Mahabubnagar District is established in the year 2014 with B.Sc., (MPC & BZC), B.A. (HEP), B.Com (General). It has been long cherishing dream of people of Alampur Constituency to have Govt. Degree College in their Constituency. Atlast it has come to reality in 2014 with the efforts of Ravindra School Alumni, MLA Sri. Sampath Kumar, Basava Purnaiah and local Leaders of all parties of Alampur Cnstituency.
Sri. Basava Purnaiah Gaaru has generously donated 3 acres for construction of Building of the College. The other benovalant people are trying to expand the extent of land to 5 acres with the help of Revenue Department.
At present, the college is running in Ravindra School in three rooms allotted to this college. This facility again provided by Sri. Basava Purnaiah Gaaru.
The college started with 154 students in its inception year 2014 and was very successful by getting 85% overall result. This year 84 students took admission in various groups so far.
Thanks to Sri. Y. Ram Mohan Gaaru and Sri Basava Purnaiah gaaru who have been very actively helping in the College Development.
