Higher learning Institutions have spread nook and corner of the country because of the new educational policies and constant efforts of the Central Government. However there has always been a miss match between the quantity and the desired quality which is the main thrust of the 12th Five Year Plan. Quality of the teaching–learning process and proper management of the resources at the institutional level are essential ingredients to ensure better prospects for the students.
The basic purpose of education is to prepare the students to face the Global competition by providing them with the required skills and knowledge. The needs of a society determine the goals of the education that is being imparted to its students. Hence the emphasis is on relevance of the education. In reality, the needs of a society or community do not remain the same all the time. They change with changing times. So meaning of Higher education also changes from to time. Moreover, equity of the opportunities is possible only when higher education is taken to all the sections of society. It is this aspect that is the motivating force behind the establishment of the Government College in Narsampet, a long cherished desire of the people of this region.
