About Department of Commerce:

The Department of Commerce was established in 1991, with B.Com(General T/M ) Since the department all over the years decides producing many graduates in the faculty of the Commerce inculcation the habit of research spirit among the students. The department also giving career guidance to the students for the higher studies , and every year 20% of students goes to join higher education. 

 The department of of commerce introduced B.Com computer (E/M) course in 2016 with CBCS syllabus and also introduced B.Com Computer Application (E/M) Course in 2018. The department of Commerce is having 1 commerce lab for the students.

Decide the regular class room teaching-seminar talks / guest lectures are also provided by the experts in the fields related to the subject. Injecting the students to attend the MANA TV programmes regularly by the department to enrich their knowledge in the field of commerce.

All the students in general are made to involve in the academic activities such as assignments and class room seminars etc. The students are encouraged to participate in the field of works such as visiting industries, banks and LIC in the local area

TEACHING, LEARNING AND EVALUTION:

TEACHING: -

• Regularly maintaining teaching diaries, giving synopsis and teaching notes to our students.
• Preparing annual academic plans and future plans.
• The departmental meetings are conducted frequently under the chairmanship of our principal to discus academic and other matters.
• The department is regularly arranging class seminars for students and conducting quiz competitions.
• The department makes use of teaching aids such as maps, charts, slides, diagrams, Power Point presentation and also MANA TV programmes.

LEARNING:-

• The department is arranging remedial coaching classes for week and backlog students and also to show learners to improve their academic standards.  
• The department organizes personal development classes in every year and conducts debates to drive out fear complex among the students.
• The department preserves newspaper clipping and articles to provide additional information on the latest developments in the subject and current topics.

 EVALUTION:-

• Students are classified into three categories such as bright, average and slow learners on the basis of the performance.
• Each student is evaluated in the class by way of tests, class room seminars and guidelines are given to prepare for university level and other competitive exams.
• Assignments are given to average and backlog students. Teaching notes are also given to students every year.
• Study projects are given to bright and advanced students. In this academic year every student is preparing project work.
• The students who secure less mark are given reading material and also remedial classes are conducted.
• Every year the students who secure highest marks in the commerce are presented with prizes to inspire other students.

              of useful books to the students

• The department having  one lab to the commerce students
• The department is maintaining previous question papers and question bank.
• The department also  provide  competitive exams material  to study  

              higher education (M.Com, MBA…)

• Around 20% of the outgoing students are joined in higher education courses in every year.
• The department of commerce faculty encouraging the students to participate job oriented exams,  some students are got govt jobs and private  sector jobs.

• Students are participated to fill commercial paper ( cheques,banking vouchers,  insurance..)
• Students are participated to make book binding activity.
