      The Department of Economics was established in this college in the year 1973 along with theestablishment of the college as per GO Ms no: 1632 dated 22/10/1973 with Telugu medium. B.AUrdu medium program was started in the year 2004 – 2005.

      The B.A. programme in the college is recognised by Satavahana University and follows thesyllabus prescribed by the university. Our students are allowed to choose from any three subjectsfrom the cluster of History, Economics and Political science. B.A. programme in our collegemeets the standards prescribed by general humanities education. Some learning outcomes ininclude:
