Govt. Degree College , Patancheru

Introduction

Government Degree College, Patancheru was established in the year 2008 by the Government of Telangana under the aegis of the Higher Education and it functions under the administrative control of the Commissioner of Collegiate Education. The college was established with the objective to impart higher education to the young people in this area. Patancheru is a well-known industrial area in the State of Telangana and it is a part of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.

Initially, the college was provided with temporary accommodation in a Government School and continued to function in the same premises till 2016-17. In the year 2016-17 it was provided with a new building constructed by Aurobindo Pharma Ltd., under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Sri G.Mahipal Reddy Hon’ble MLA of Patancheru Assembly Constituency took the initiative and got the building constructed by Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.

During more than a decade of its existence, the institution has grown by leaps and bounds and today stands as one of the leading higher educational institutions offering general education in Sangareddy district of Telangana State. The institution has set out on its journey with a clear vision and mission driven by values.
