FOOD MELA
Government Degree College,Zaheerabad hosted Food and Crafts mela on 12th march 2019 in the college premises inagurate by the local MLA Sri K.Manik rao.About 30 food stalls and more than 10 crafts and art stalls ere showcased.People from zaheerabad town,besides the college staff and students enjoyed the dishes and purchase craft items.This as an opportunity for the students to exhibit their talent and at the end of the day students felt happy about their skill in various fields and many felt that they can have their on enterpreneurship in future.
Fistful of Rice,Kiddy bank
Government Degree College,Zaheerabad conducting a programme Fistful of Rice.This programme is organised by the institution to help the poor and needy people.Zaheerabad has been one among the poor place of Telangana state providing the higher education to their grown up girls is very difficult for the parents.The college is sharing the burden to smaller extent.The staff and students of the institution has come forard to contribute some of their earnings and pool them to fund for making payment of fees and other reuire for continuing education thode of needed.Also the students and staff of the college are supporting the poor and needy people with fistful of Rice.Every month we are collecting some Rice and we given it to an NGO to support some orphanages an oldages.
