Govt. Degree for Women, Nagarkurnool established during the year 2008-09 to cater the needs of rural and poor girls of nearby villages. The college is at present functioning in the campus of GovernmentDegreeCollege(A&C),Nagarkurnool
An extent of Ac.5-11 land with NEW BULIDING by the Government, besides Idga, Sripuram Road, Nagrkurnool town. The collge is offering 02 UG courses in English, Telugu and Urdu medium and 3 PG courses M. Com ,M.A Telugu M.A Economics ,as specified hereunder.
- BA(CBSE) - E/M ,T/M AND U/M with Sanctioned strength of 300 students
- B.Com.(Computer Application) E/M and T/M with sanctioned strength of 180 students

There is excellent and dedicated faculty in the college. The pass percentage of the college is above 50%. Many of the students passed from the college have got seats in P.G. and B.Ed. courses etc. Every year the college is awarding medals to the subject toppers and college topers. For Poor and slow learners remedial classes are conducted in zero hours of the college by dedicated staff. For rural students bus pass concession facility is there. The atmosphere of the college very pleasant and student encouragement for their achievements in the studies. This college one and only offering UG B.A HEP Urdu medium in the district of Nagarkurnool.
