BRIEF HISTORY OF OUR COLLEGE

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has sanctioned and accorded administrative permission to establish Government Degree College at Wardhannapet, Warangal District with efforts of Educationalists, Officials, Public representives and Philanthropists, During the Year 2014-2015 to cater to the higher education needs of Surrounding villages particularly downtrodden communities, minorities and women vide G.O.ms.No.140 Higher Education(CE-I) Dept.Dated.28-02-2014and Communicated by the CommissionerofCollegiateEducation,Hyderabad .Proce.Rc.No.250/GDC&CS-2/2014 Dated:09-06-2014.Subsequently the then government has been sanctioned  9 Teaching posts and 1 Non-teaching post to create academic atmosphere.

However, during the academic year 2014-2015 only two courses of B.A, (HEP) B.COM (G) was started. This academic year we are going to introduce many job oriented courses along with Science Courses. At present the college is functioning in the Premises of  government junior college .The is college was affiliated to Kakatiya university Warangal offering B.A,B.COM ,B.Sc courses for both mediums with intake 60+60 and 50+50 seats

 Scaling up UG education by introducing new innovative and time relevant courses keeping in view demand and supply scenario and implementing regular vision of curriculum syllabi to keep pace with the emerging trends in education.

A Comprehensive faculty development programme to encourage innovative teaching practices outcome based on territorial education, time relevant courses .self propelled growth in research and development through participation and contributions in national state conferences seminars, symposiums, workshops and institution of academic exchange programs.

Implementation of a well defined and time bound plan of cooperation with the networked institutions, industries and open up avenues for institution of importance and universities abroad. A proactive effort to intensive interaction with industries through student training, faculty internships collaborative consultation and contract research activities.
