ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:
Kakatiya Government College decided to launch its Computer Science and Applications programs to meet the global needs of industrial world. With this aim, Bachelor of Science and Applications programs were offered in 1997. These Programs aim to attract bright students throughout the region for quality education at under-graduate level and designed to produce IT professionals with latest technical and professional skills to meet the requirements of the industry.
- Computers are now affecting every sphere of human activity and bringing about many changes in Industries, Education fields like Medicine, Scientific Research, Law and Social science.
- A foundation of knowledge for a life time of learning, computers have become a good companion to man.
- Department was established in the year 1997 under UG Restructured Self-financial Courses with B.Sc. (Computer Science) and B.Com (Computer Applications).

To become a center of Excellence offering quality education and innovation in Computer Science and Information Technology to meet out the societal needs.The course offers a combination of science subjects like mathematics, Physics, Accounts, statistics and computer science to facilitate the student in pursuing higher studies.
