Department of History
The Department of History was started with the combination of Arts Undergraduate course B.A. (History- Economics- Political Science) in this college in the year 1973. Our college is affiliated to Kakatiya University, Warangal and we follow the syllabus prescribed by the Kakatiya University, Warangal. History is a story of human efforts in different fields and perspectives brought in human life, culture and civilization. By assessing its historical heritage and its significance, a nation makes necessary changes according to the changing times and traverses from past to present and present to the future. History occupies key role in all competitive examinations as a part of General Studies paper by getting more questions from it. Since, the subject History is a deciding factor in getting government jobs, our department is taking every precaution to analyze and explain History in a better way.
VISION

Students are made to understand the History of the Telangana, History of South India, History of India and History of Modern world. Students are explained the importance of History and made them to preserve the Local History and monuments around.
MISSION

Involving students in Students Research Projects and Field Trips to bring out the rich History and preserve the History of Telangana.
- Priority is given to observe and preserve the Local History like Bathukamma Festival, Bonalu Festival and Medaram Jatara.
