STUDENTS WELFARE COMMITTEE – ACTIVITIES
The students of all the courses in the college are allotted faculty member as Mentor. The students discussed with the Mentor their issues on Academics, Extra Curricular Activities, Hostel issues and Personal life. The Mentors suggest them the possible solution and take remedial action for the issue to be redressed.
Various personal enhancement and development schemes provided for the students include Career counselling, Soft Skill Development etc.
The under privileged students get financial assistant from the state government as per the rules framed by the government time to time.
- Performance enhancement for slow learners through Remedial Classes.
- Exposure of the students to other institutions of higher learning etc.
- Educational visits to reputed organisations.
Objectives and Outcome of Student Welfare Programmes:
- Remedial & Tutorial System:Gives an opportunity to practice their analytical thinking and problem solving ability, close contact with teachers and taught in establishment.
- Grievance Bureau:To assist the students in choice of courses and career keeping in view of the employment trends on one hand and students interest on other hand.
- College Magazine:Divided into many sections like science, language, social science, computers, commerce etc. annually published express feelings through writing.
- National Service Scheme (NSS):Provides various opportunities to serve the nation. Organising one camp annually in an adopted village. All the NSS students participated in it.
- Soft Skills Programme:Training in spoken English, developing good and effective communication skills through TSKC.
- Students related seminars/ conferences/ workshops/camps: List their accomplishment at state and national levels. It is a celebration of cultural diversity and difference.
