About Examination Branch
Government Degree College for Women, until the academic year 2012-13, the College was affiliated with Osmania University and followed a uniform curriculum and examination system.
- In the academic year 2012-13 after the autonomy is conferred to the college, Examination Branch was established that was led by the Controller of Examination (COE), who was assisted by two Assistant Controllers of Examination from the teaching staff and other clerical and contingent staff ensures the smooth conduct of Examination and Evaluation process.
- Initially, the Exam Branch of the College performed activities such as coding, decoding, and so on manually; however, results were processed using software.
- The Exam Branch has completely automated its services from the year 2016 onwards, in order to keep up with changing technology and a threefold increase in student strength.
The Branch has extensively evolved from the time of its inception. The responsibilities of Branch include:
- Preparing and publishing the examination calendar.
- Planning for conducting Internal and end semester exams.
- Handling the grievances related to malpractice and other exam related issues.
- Timely publication of results and issuing the degree certificates.
- Review and analyze the results and given to concerned departments.
- Conducting regular meetings to plan execute and scrutinize the exam process.
- Online verification of students’ documents.
