Serilingampally is a part of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. Due to its close proximity to ICRISAT,Hi-tech City, Gachibowli, Nanakramguda, Manikonda, and Kondapur, there has been a heavy influx of IT companies in the vicinity. The University of Hyderabad is very close to this area. The New Govt Degree College, Serilingampally was established by Government of Telangana. The institution is located in the premises of BHEL Township, Hyderabad.

The Govt Degree College, Serilingam pally was established by Government of Telangana. from the academic year 2014 – 2015, with B.A., B.Com (Conventional Courses) B.Com (Computer Applications)in the premises of Govt Jr college, BHEL, Township Hyderabad Telangana.  B.Sc Physics Sciences and Life Sciences were started from the academic year 2019-20. Almost all the students who take admission in this college come from marginalized and socio economically under-privileged sections of the society. They may lack in material resources but are second to none in spirit and motivation. The collge is having well qualified faculties with Doctorates/ M.Phil/NET/SET. Our mission is to provide them quality education which transforms them into morally upright, socially committed and spiritually inspired global citizens.
