            There are two NSS units (Boys unit & Girls unit) in the college.  The NSS volunteers participate actively in the clean and green programmes on the college premises as well as in the neighbourhood.  When the Covid-19 period prevailed in the country, these  volunteers made a few Youtube videos bringing awareness about Covid-precautions, mask-making, and Yoga asanas and streamed them. Some of the volunteers even draw messages in the form of colourful rangolis in the front yard of their houses in the villages and tried to bring awareness among the village folk.  The volunteers distributed food packets to the needy in the Covid first wave period in certain regions. 

 

Winter Special Camps:

 

         These NSS units organize Winter Special camps every year in the surrounding villages. The NSS volunteers are to devote about 80 hours to Regular Activities for the development of the adopted village. Special Camping is conceived as an opportunity to live with the community for 7 days and experience the conditions and problems of the people. The NSS volunteers need to be inspired to take initiatives for the improvement of the villagers' condition. They also participate in cultural activities giving messages for social causes.  They conduct various programmes in the village like health camps, She teams’  awareness, surveys.  They participate in processions with slogans of NSS objectives and social messages along the streets to bring awareness to the public.
