Govt. Degree College, Morthad

Government Degree College, Morthad established in the year 2009 vide G.O.Ms.No. 22 Dated:28-02-2009 and functions under administrative control of the Commissioner of Collegiate Education-Department of Higher Education- Government of Telangana.

It is affiliated to Osmania University from 2009-10 and from 2010-11onwards college is affiliated to Telangana University.

Offering UG Courses 1. B.Sc. Physical Sciene, 2. B.Sc. Life Sceince, 3. B.Com Computer Applications and 4. B.A. Arts. Total College Strength for the academic year 2023-24 is 539.

Semester Examinations:

• There will be two semesters in each academic year.
• Final examinations are conducted at the end of each semester.
• There will be no detention at the end of first, third and fifth semester.
• There will be detention at the end of the second and fourth semester:
• If a student fails in more than 50% of the total papers of first 
  and second semester, she will be detained at the end of second semester. 
• If a student fails in more than 25% of first, second, third and fourth semesters put together she will be detained at the end of fourth semester.

Second Languages Offered:

The college offers Telugu subjects as second language.

Attendance:

A minimum of 75% of attendance is compulsory for the students to appear for the semester examinations and for obtaining scholarships.

TSKC a prestigious scheme of the State Government was first introduced in our college. The TSKC provides special training in Computers, Communication, Analytical and soft skills and enables the student to become globally competent. Placement drives are arranged on a large scale every year. The college also offers NSS Programme.
