 INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell was established in the college as a post accreditation measure to ensure quality up-gradation and sustenance in academic and administrative matters on 14 July, 2004. IQAC takes appropriate measures to channelize the efforts of the college to address the issues raised in the earlier cycle to achieve academic excellence. The specific focus of the IQAC is to imbibe feedback from stakeholders for taking corrective measures to ensure quality sustenance and enhancement in the college.

Significant outcomes:

The efforts of IQAC since 2005 have resulted in

  • Sustaining the Autonomy status since 2004.
  • Obtained the status of ‘College with Potential for Excellence’ in 2010. (CPE-2010).
  • Introduced the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) in the academic year 2014-15 and our college was the first college in Telangana to introduce CBCS in UG courses.
  • Accreditation of the College with 'B' Grade (CGPA 2.50) in the third cycle.
  • Received ‘Academic Excellence Award’ from the Commissioner of Collegiate Education for four consecutive years for 2015, 2016, 2017 & 2018.
  • Obtained  ISO (9001:2015) certification in 2020 and 2021.
  • Awarded with ‘Green Champion’ title by the Central Government.

  • Developing a system for consistent improvement in the performance of the staff and students of the Institution.
  • Promoting innovative practices that continually improve the effectiveness of the learning experiences of students.
  • Upholding the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance towards organizing various activities and programmes in the campus.
  • Promoting a learner centric environment for students and staff that foster the mission and vision of the Institution.

STRATEGIES:

IQAC evolves mechanisms and procedures for:

  • Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.
  • Relevance and quality of academic programmes and research culture.
  • Equitable access and affordability of academic programmes for various sections of the society.
  • Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning and credibility of evaluation procedures.
  • Ensuring adequacy, maintenance and functioning of support structure and services.
  • Focus on institutional improvement
  • Research sharing and networking with other institutions in India and abroad.

FUNCTIONS:

  • Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
  • Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education.
  • Encouraging faculty to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
  • Arrangement of feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.
  • Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education.
  • Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.
  • Documentation of various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement.
  • Acting as a nodal agency of the institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices.
  • Development of quality culture in the institution.
  • Preparation of Annual quality assurance report(AQAR) every year and submission to NAAC.
  • Development and maintenance of institutional database for maintaining/enhancing institutional quality.
