Stuents Feedback Analysis on Teachers Perfomance

Feedback is collected from the students by respective departments in the month of October, 2018. Feedback forms supplied to the students include 20 items on which students are asked to give their opinion on a five point rating scale. The 20 items are as below.

1. Efforts to effectively cover 100% of syllabus.
2. The interest generated in the students while teaching in the class room
3. Clarity of expression while teaching the topic/lesson
4. Depth of subject content explained
5. Level of latest developments in the subject taught
6. Use of other methods of teaching like class seminar, question answer, group discussion etc., in the class room
7. Encouraging questions on the topic in the class and clearing doubts
8. Use of teaching models and teaching aids in the class room.
9. Encouraging and supervising the students for study projects.
10. Aptitude shown in arranging field visits, invited lecturers etc., in the subject.
11. Encouraging and guiding students in reading library (subject and general) books and using internet.
12. Encouraging and guiding students in giving class seminars.
13. Regularity and seriousness in valuing the answer scripts of monthly tests and discussing the same with the students.
14. Remedial coaching and efforts made in preparing the students for University Examinations.
15. Regularity and punctuality to the class
16. Enthusiasm shown to encourage and guide students in extra-curricular activities like cultural, community service, nation building etc.,
17. Counselling and career guidance
18. Accessibility of the lecturer outside the classroom for academic interaction.

ANALYSIS ON FEEDBACK:

DEPARTMENT OF TELUGU

Department of Telugu has 01 regular faculty and 01 part time faculty. The feedback of students on Mrs. Ch.Jagadambhika shows that she is excellent in many areas like timely completion of syllabus, building up enthusiasm among the students on subject and motivating the students to learn co-curricular aspects like story writing.  The feedback indicates that there is the need for improvement in areas like arranging Guest Lectures, and encouraging the students to visit library and to acquaint themselves in internet usage.

            Feedback on Mrs. B.Sreedevi show that she is excellent in many areas like teaching skills of seminar presentation,Encouraging questions on the topic in the class and clearing doubts, innovation in teaching practices and acquiring information on latest developments in the subject. At the same time the feedback suggest improvement in areas like showing personal care towards the students encouraging the students to visit library and to acquaint themselves in internet usage.

DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH

            Department of English has 02 regular faculty. Feedback on Mr. M.Srinivasa Chary shows that he is excellent in many areas like timely completion of syllabus, Clarity of expression while teaching, encouraging the students to visit library,Regularity and punctuality to the class, Encouraging questions on the topic in the class and clearing doubts latest developments in the subject, Accessibility of the lecturer outside the classroom for academic interaction, building up enthusiasm among the students on subject and motivating the students to learn co-curricular aspects like story writing.  The feedback indicates that there is the need for improvement in areas like arranging Guest Lectures, and and to acquaint themselves in internet usage.

            The feedback acquired on Dr. YVR. Prasanna Kumar reflect that, he is excellent in timely completion of syllabus,The interest generated in the students while teaching in the class room, giving counselling and career guidance,Personal care and affection while dealing with individual students, Encouraging and guiding students in reading library, in arranging field visits, invited lecturers , Level of latest developments in the subject taught, Clarity of expression while teaching, helping students, being punctual to the class, Accessibility of the lecturer outside the classroom for academic interaction and having depth of subject content. But, the feedback indicates certain areas for improvement like, encourage and guide students in extra-curricular activities, timely evaluation of answer sheets,

DEPARTMENT OF BOTANY

            Department of Botany has 01 regular faculty and 01 Contract Faculty. As per the feedback of the students on  Dr. N.ChandraBabu, he is excellent in areas like clarity in teaching and preparation of teaching aids and collection of news paper cuttings, cover 100% of syllabus, interest generated in the students while teaching in the class room, Clarity of expression while teaching, Depth of subject, Level of latest developments in the subject taught, Encouraging questions on the topic in the class and clearing doubts, Encouraging and supervising the students for study projects, in guiding students in giving class seminars, in arranging field visits, invited lecturers, Enthusiasm shown to encourage and guide students in extra-curricular activities like harithaHaram, YUVATARANGAM etc. . The areas for improvement in encouraging the students to visit library and to acquaint themselves in internet usage.

                        Students feedback on Mrs. K.Latha shows that she is excellent in punctuality in attending to the classes and in imbibing enthusiasm among the students on subject. The improvements needed are: to encourage the students to visit the library and to be available to the students out of the class also.

DEPARTMENT OF ZOOLOGY

            Department of Zoology has 01 regular faculty. Feedback collected on Mr. M.Srinivas Sarin he is excellent in areas like cover 100% of syllabus, interest generated in the students while teaching in the class room, Clarity of expression while teaching, Depth of subject, Level of latest developments in the subject taught, Encouraging questions on the topic in the class and clearing doubts, Encouraging and supervising the students for study projects, in guiding students in giving class seminars, in arranging field visits, invited lecturers. The areas for improvement in encouraging the students to visit library and to acquaint themselves in internet usage.

           

DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY

            Department of Chemistry has 02 regular faculty. As per the feedback collected on                Mr. M. Nagu that he is excellent in the areas like conducting seminars, Internal Exams and encouraging students towards research & Hiher education. On the other hand the feedback suggest the there is need of improvement in areas like using more ICT based classes.

            Feedback on Dr. V. Shekhar indicates  that he is excellent in areas like usage of teaching models and teaching aids, and encouraging the students to use internet. The feedback, on the other hand, show that there is the need of improvement in timely evaluation of internal examination papers and in making a discussion on the performance of the students after the exam.

DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS

            Department of Physics has 01 contract faculty and 01 guest faculty. The feedback gathered on Mrs. A. Sumalatha show that she is excellent in developing enthusiasm among the students on the subject they learn, being punctual to the class and usage of teaching aids. But, there is need to bring improvement in certain areas like, encouraging the students to participate in co-curricular activities like class room seminars and group discussions.

            As per the feedback obtained on Mr. S. Sanjeeva Rao, he is excellent in having depth in subject content, clarity in teaching and giving counselling and career guidance. There is need to bring improvement in taking personal care of the students out of the class and to encourage them to ask questions to clarify their doubts.

DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS

            Department of Mathematics has 01 regular faculty. The feedback acquired on                     Mr. B. Saidi Reddy reflect that, he is excellent in updating latest information on the subject taught, conducting Remedial coaching, preparing the students for the examinations and timely evaluation of answer scripts. But, there are areas for improvement like showing personal care towards the students and encouraging them to visit the library.

DEPARTYMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE

            Department of Computer Science has 01 guest faculty. The feedback collected on Mr. T.Mallikarjuna Rao is good in acquiring knowledge and latest trends in the subject, and encouraging the students in attending the computer lab and educating them on internet browsing. They need to improve in the areas of being punctual to the class and timely evaluation of internal exam answer sheets and proper maintenance of computers.

DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE

            Department of Commerce has 02 regular faculty. Feedback obtained on Dr. B.Veerraju suggest that he has depth in the subject content and completes the syllabus in time. But, he needs to improve in the usage of teaching aids and internet.

            As per the feedback gathered on Dr. Sreenivas Dadigala, he is excellent in bringing enthusiasm among the students on the subject taught, conduction of class room seminars and in giving counselling and career guidance. But, the feedback also suggest that, there is need for improvement in areas like, encouraging the students to participate in cultural activities and timely evaluation of answer sheets of internal exams.

DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS

            Department of Economics has 02 regular faculty. Feedback obtained on Dr. K. Ananda kumar he is excellent in areas like clarity in teaching and preparation of teaching aids and collection of news paper cuttings, cover 100% of syllabus, interest generated in the students while teaching in the class room, Clarity of expression while teaching, Depth of subject, Level of latest developments in the subject taught, Encouraging questions on the topic in the class and clearing doubts, Encouraging and supervising the students for study projects, in guiding students in giving class seminars, in arranging field visits, invited lecturers. The areas for improvement in encouraging the students to visit library and to acquaint themselves in internet usage..

            As per the feedback acquired on Mr. S.Rama Rao, he is excellent in areas like clarity in teaching and preparation of teaching aids and collection of news paper cuttings, cover 100% of syllabus, interest generated in the students while teaching in the class room, Clarity of expression while teaching, Depth of subject, Encouraging questions on the topic in the class and clearing doubts, Encouraging and supervising the students for study projects, in guiding students in giving class seminars, in arranging field visits, invited lecturers, Enthusiasm shown to encourage and guide students in extra-curricular activities like harithaHaram, Swatcha Bharath, community Surveys and Community Services etc. . The areas for improvement in encouraging the students to visit library, Level of latest developments in the subject taught, and to acquaint themselves in internet usage.

DEPARTMENT OF POLITICAL SCIENCE

            Department of Political Science has 01 contract faculty and 01 Guest faculty. The feedback collected on  Mrs. N. Saidamma suggest that she is excellent in effectively cover 100% of syllabus, Encouraging questions on the topic in the class and clearing doubts, Encouraging and supervising the students for study projects, Encouraging and guiding students in giving class seminars, Regularity and punctuality to the class. The feedback, on the other hand, indicate that there is need of improvisation in areas like, beingDepth of subject content explained.

            As per the feedback on Mr. G.L.N.Reddy, he is excellent in motivating the students to participate in class room seminars, and encouraging the quality of asking questions in the class room. The area in which there is need of improvement is: to show personal care on the students and to encourage the students to participate in cultural and co-curricular activities.

DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY

            Department of History has 01 regular faculty and 01 contract Faculty. The feedback collected on Dr. N.Venkateshwarlu show that he is good in timely completion of syllabus, encouraging the students to participate in cultural and co-curricular activities and taking personal care of the students. He needs to improve in giving counselling and career guidance to the students, and usage of teaching aids like news paper cuttings.

DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

            Department of Public Administration has 01 Regular faculty. Feedback on Mr. P.Surendra Rao suggest that he is good in generating interest among the students while teaching and encouraging the students to ask questions and taking interest to clarify their doubts, latest developments in the subject and usage of internet,Encouraging questions on the topic, Encouraging and guiding students in reading library, Students Seminars, Remedial Coaching, in Regularity and punctuality to the class, in Counselling and career guidance . On the other side, there is the need for improvement in Encouraging and supervising the students for study projects, in arranging field visits, invited lecturers etc and to encourage and guide students in extra-curricular activities.

PG DEPARTMENT OF POLITICAL SCIENCE

            Department of Political Science has 03 Guest faculty. The feedback collected on                Mr. B.Rambabu suggest that he is excellent in having clarity on the subject, being punctual to the class , and in bringing enthusiasm among students on the subject taught. The feedback, on the other hand, indicates that there is need of improvisation in areas like, Use ICT in the class room and in timely completion of evaluation of answer sheets of internal examinations.

            As per the feedback on Mr. G. Shyam Kumar, he is excellent in motivating the students to participate in class room seminars, and encouraging the quality of asking questions in the class room. On the other side, there is the need for improvement in acquiring information on latest developments in the subject and usage of internet.

Venkateshwarlu, he is excellent in motivating the students to participate in class room seminars, and encouraging the quality of asking questions in the class room. The areas in which there is need of improvement is: to show personal care on the students and to encourage the students to participate in cultural and co-curricular activities.

The feedback of students on Mr. M.Laxmanacharyulu shows that he is excellent in many areas like timely completion of syllabus, building up enthusiasm among the students on subject and motivating the students to learn co-curricular aspects like story writing.  The feedback indicates that there is the need for improvement in areas like arranging Guest Lectures, and encouraging the students to visit library and to acquaint themselves in internet usage.

            Feedback on Mrs. A.Swathi show that she is excellent in many areas like showing personal care towards the students. At the same time the feedback suggest improvement in areas like teaching skills of seminar presentation and innovation in teaching practices and to discuss about the performance of students after the internal exams.

            As per the feedback on Mrs. Y. Madhavi, she is excellent in motivating the students to participate in class room seminars, and encouraging the quality of asking questions in the class room. On the other side, there is the need for improvement in acquiring information on latest developments in the subject and usage of internet.

             The institution has taken note of the feedback given by the students and has taken appropriate measures after discussing in the staff meeting.
