 Government degree college, Adilabad has been rendering its invaluable services in the sphere of higher education since 1957. The college has played an important role in imparting education in Adilabad and its surrounding areas. The college is located in Shanthinagar of Adilabad town with lush greenery and a variety of trees spreading over an area of 15 acres land and having an impressive building with 52 rooms. Our college has well qualified and experienced faculty, well-equipped labs, a library with a good number of books and gymnasium. Adilabad town is a municipality and the headquarters of Adilabad district in Telangana State. The town is known for its multicultural and multilingual customs with a sizeable tribal population. Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Urdu, Gondi, Lambadi etc. languages are widely spoken here. Adilabad is famous for its extensive cultivation of cotton hence it is called as “White Gold town”. It is located on National Highway No. 44 about 304 km from the state capital Hyderabad. The surroundings of Adilabad are famous for beautiful waterfalls like Kuntala, Pochera, Gayatri, Kanakai, Saptagundalu etc. Kuntala is considered as the highest waterfall in the state. The college was first accredited with ‘B’ grade by NAAC in February 2006 and reaccredited with ‘B’ grade in December 2014.
